Q: When are the scholarship applications available?
A: Scholarship applications open on October 15.

Q: Can students who reside in Anne Arundel County but attend school in another county apply for a scholarship?
A: No. Applicants must both reside in and attend school in Anne Arundel County.
Q: Can students who attend school in Anne Arundel County but reside in another county apply for a scholarship?
A: No. Applicants must both reside in and attend school in Anne Arundel County.
Q: Can students who are home-schooled apply for a scholarship?
A: Yes. Home-schooled students are eligible to apply if they reside in Anne Arundel County.
Q: How many scholarships may an applicant apply for?
A: Applicants may apply for up to two scholarships.
Q: Are these scholarships need-based?
A: No, these scholarships are awarded on a need-blind basis. Nondiscrimination Statement: All scholarships provided by the Organization shall be administered without regard to race, gender, age, national origin, religion, disability, sexual orientation, familial status, or financial need.
Q: May the application be submitted before the transcript and letters of recommendation are uploaded?
A: Yes. The transcript and letters of recommendation deadlines occur one week after the student application deadline. See Key Dates for specific deadlines.
Q: The recommender did not receive the request to submit a letter of recommendation. What should I do?
A: If it is prior to the student application deadline, you may log in to your application and resend the request. If it is after the student deadline but before the letters of recommendation deadline, please contact us, and we will resend the request to your recommender.
Q: When are scholarship award decisions announced?
A: All applicants are notified by email the first week of April.
Q: Are scholarship funds sent directly to the colleges?
A: Yes. Scholarship checks are mailed directly to the colleges by July 1.
Q: When I complete my application and click “SUBMIT,” I receive an “INCOMPLETE” message. Why?
A: This means that your transcripts have not yet been received as they are due the week after the student deadline.
